My name is Sapphire Tutua Crump. I am sixteen years old going on seventeen and I’ve been around since 08/08/1996. I currently live in Auckland, New Zealand and attend Papatoetoe High. I’m keeping my options open right now, but aspire to have a future career in the arts (Photography, Artist) or writing (Newspapers, magazines, books).
I like to think I’ve grown tremendously the past few years. I’ve been through lots of different things that have built who I am as a person and I am always here to help anyone who needs it. How did you do your purple/pink/orange/red etc hair?
I bleached it till it was a light, light blonde colour and then I used either Manic Panic (Orange), Fudge Paintbox (Purple/Pink) or L’Oreal (Red).
Why don’t you dye your hair anymore?
It was badly damaged and I had dyed it so many times that it had turned out a really awful mix of colours when I attempted chocolate brown. So naturally, I just went for black and now it’s healthier and etc.
What camera do you use?
I use a Nikon D80, it’s old but I love it! I also have to use film cameras for school so I also use a Nikon. I’m currently fixing up a Canon Canonet too which is exciting. I also own a cute Instax Polaroid camera which is pretty fun to play around with!
What Instruments do you play/do you play for a band etc?
I do play for a band. I play guitar a lot but also a little Bass and Piano. My musical ambitions have been put on hold since my place has been broken into and all my guitars basses and amps stolen.
